What's the difference between a thong and a jockstrap?

Both leave the back bare. A thong has a single strip of fabric at the back below a full waistband; a jockstrap has two elastic straps under the cheeks instead. Thongs sit cleaner under clothes, while jockstraps give a stronger frame.
