FAQs
What is Strike Pro Core Cotton?
Core Cotton is the everyday underwear range from BANG&STRIKE's own-label Strike Pro collection — a 150gsm 95% cotton, 5% elastane blend designed for all-day comfort rather than gym performance. It's lightweight, soft against the skin and cut with a low-rise contoured twin-ply pouch. Designed in-house, sold exclusively at BANG&STRIKE. If you want well-made cotton underwear that fits properly and lasts, this is it.
What styles does Core Cotton come in?
Four cuts, all in Black and White. The slip brief has a minimal low-rise cut with a narrow covered elastic waistband carrying the STRIKE PRO branding on the rear. The hip brief and boxer both feature a 4cm waistband with contrast STRIKE PRO silicone printed branding and raised stripe detailing on the upper and lower edges. The jockstrap uses the same cotton body with soft microfibre back straps and the same branded 4cm waistband.
What colours are available?
Black, charcoal and White — the two wardrobe essentials that work under everything and don't date.
How does Core Cotton fit?
Low rise with a contoured twin-ply pouch. The 5% elastane gives good stretch so it adapts without pulling or gaping. It runs slightly larger than premium branded alternatives like Calvin Klein or BOSS — if you're between sizes or usually buy those brands, check our size guide measurements before ordering rather than going by label size alone.
Is Core Cotton good for the gym?
It's a natural cotton blend, so it absorbs sweat rather than wicking it away — fine for light activity but not the ideal choice for anything high-intensity. For gym use, the Strike Pro Microfibre range is purpose-built for that. Core Cotton is designed for everyday wear: the office, weekends, travel, day-to-day.
Is Core Cotton suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — 95% cotton is one of the most skin-friendly fabric choices available and well-tolerated by men who find synthetic fabrics irritating. The 5% elastane is minimal and the cotton construction breathes naturally throughout the day.
What is the difference between the slip brief and the hip brief?
The slip brief has a more minimal design — a narrower, lower-profile waistband with the STRIKE PRO branding sitting on the rear. It's the cleaner, more streamlined cut of the two. The hip brief has a wider 4cm waistband with the contrast STRIKE PRO branding and raised stripe detail on the front — more structured and more visible above the waistline.
How do I wash Core Cotton?
Wash at 30–40°C on a gentle cycle. Cotton can handle slightly higher temperatures than microfibre but hot washes will cause shrinkage and degrade the elastane over time. Air dry where possible — occasional tumble drying on a low heat is fine but will shorten the garment's lifespan. Avoid fabric softener as it breaks down elastic fibres over time.
