The Prince Albert Line Hits the Water
The Prince Albert line is one of Modus Vivendi's most recognisable design families — named after the piercing long associated with male body jewellery, eroticism and body confidence. It started in underwear and ready-to-wear, and for 2026 it expands into swimwear.
The new Prince Albert Low Cut Swim Brief carries the whole idea over to the beach: a polished metal ring set at the hip, a low-rise cut and a silhouette designed for maximum impact with minimal coverage. It's swimwear that makes no apologies.
One Detail. All the Attitude.
The focal point is the signature metal barbell ring, engraved with the Modus Vivendi logo and set into the side of the brief. It's the detail that gives the line its name and its edge — body jewellery reimagined as a wearable design element, no piercing required.
The cut sits low on the hips for a sculpted, body-enhancing line, with clean construction front and back. Worn with confidence, it does exactly what Modus Vivendi designs it to do: draws the eye and holds it.
"Body jewellery, reimagined as swimwear. The ring is the whole point."
Quick-Dry Microfibre
The brief is built from a lightweight, quick-drying microfibre — a fine polyamide and elastane blend that's thin, stretchy and holds its shape in and out of the water. It gives a close, secure fit without feeling heavy, and dries fast once you're out of the sea or pool.
Built to perform, designed to pose. The four-way stretch means it moves with you, while the smooth microfibre face keeps the silhouette clean under the brightest sun.
Treat it like all good swimwear: rinse after the sea or pool, hand wash in cool water and air dry in the shade to protect the colour and the stretch.
How It Sizes Up
This is a body-conscious, low-rise brief — expect a snug, sculpted feel rather than a relaxed beach short. Because the microfibre contains elastane, sizing is flexible: if you're between sizes and want a tighter fit, size down; for a more relaxed fit, size up.
Available in sizes S–XL. Check the size guide on each product page against your waist measurement before ordering.
Scuba Diving After Dark
Modus Vivendi launched the line with its Scuba Diving Campaign, shot at night along a rocky coastline between water, stone and a distant city skyline. The diving theme plays on depth, curiosity and pushing past limits — a fitting frame for a collection that sits deliberately between swimwear, fetish-inspired aesthetics and modern menswear.
How to Wear It
Let the brief be the hero and keep everything else simple. A sheer or mesh tank, an open linen shirt, or a matching Modus Vivendi top ties the metal-ring detail together for a head-to-toe look. Keep accessories minimal — the hardware on the brief is already the statement.
Prince Albert Swimwear FAQs
It references the Prince Albert piercing, historically linked to male body jewellery and body confidence. Modus Vivendi uses it as a design cue — a metal barbell ring engraved with the brand logo — rather than anything you need to wear pierced.

Rinse after the sea or pool, hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and air dry in the shade. Avoid bleach to protect the colour and the elastane.
