BANG&STRIKE — The Responsible Edit

Modus Vivendi
Striped Laminated Swimwear.

Classic Breton stripes meet a high-shine laminated foil finish — and every metre of it is made from recycled plastic bottles. Modus Vivendi's most eye-catching swim brief is also its most sustainable.

The Line

Nautical Heritage, New Finish

The Striped Laminated line takes the oldest trick in menswear — the Breton stripe — and gives it a finish nobody else is doing: a high-shine laminated foil print over the stripe, in Red and Black.

It's part of Modus Vivendi's Responsible Edit, meaning the eye-catching finish isn't just about looking good on the sand — it's built from 100% recycled yarns made of reclaimed plastic bottles.

The Design

Low-Cut, High-Shine

The silhouette is a low-rise bikini brief with a front lining in matching fast-drying elasticated fabric and a sewn transparent rubber logo label — confident and comfortably fitted, with the laminated stripe doing the talking.

"Two words: eye-catching. The ageless marine trend, elevated — sustainably."

The Fabric

100% Recycled, Zero Compromise

The brief is made from 80% polyester and 20% elastane, created entirely from recycled yarns sourced from reclaimed plastic bottles — fast-drying and built for the pool and beach, designed and made in Greece.

One important note. The laminated foil finish is not chlorine-safe — Modus Vivendi doesn't recommend it for swimming pools, since chlorine can affect the finish over time. Treat this one as statement beachwear and open-water swimming rather than a lap brief.

Hand wash in warm water with a mild detergent, turn inside out first, avoid rough surfaces, and air dry — never tumble dry or bleach.

The Fit

How It Sizes Up

A low-rise, body-conscious bikini brief. Sizes run S–XL: S fits a 28–30in waist, M 31–32in, L 33–34in and XL 35–36in. The elastane content gives some flexibility — check the waist measurement against your own before ordering.

Styling

How to Wear It

This is the range to build a look around rather than blend in with — a plain white shirt worn open, or nothing at all, lets the laminated stripe stay the focal point. Because it's beachwear rather than a pool brief, it pairs naturally with espadrilles, a straw hat and a towel that isn't trying to compete with it.

Red is the bolder of the two on lighter skin tones; Black reads more versatile and works into evening on a warm night out.
