Every corner of fashion has its bloggers — beauty gurus, sneakerheads, film critics — and men's underwear is no exception. Long before "content creator" was a job title, a handful of genuine obsessives were reviewing briefs, tracking new drops and building real communities around a category most brands treated as an afterthought. We first rounded up our favourites back in 2019. This is the 2026 update.
We've sold men's underwear online since 2006, and in that time we've watched blogs launch, evolve into full businesses, and — in a couple of cases — quietly go quiet. Below is who's still doing it: posting regularly, reviewing honestly, and genuinely worth a follow. Further down, a hall of fame for the sites that shaped this space before they went silent.
Still one of the most consistent voices in the category, publishing daily across new drops, editorials, model interviews and its regular "Weekend Feast" round-up. What began as a personal blog has grown into a full online magazine and shop, and it's exactly the kind of blog-to-brand relationship we love — it's rare to find a site still going, still posting daily, seven years after we first featured it here. It's also one of the sites that's linked back to this very page over the years, for which: thank you.
If Men and Underwear is the magazine, Underwear News Briefs (UNB) is the community clubhouse. It posts near-daily "Brief Distraction" features spotlighting new brands and drops, runs the Brief Talk podcast, and hands out its own reader-voted "Drawer of Fame" awards. It's opinionated, prolific and unmistakably written by people who still love the category — several fresh posts in the last fortnight alone.
A more product-led operation than most on this list. Rather than day-to-day news, The Underwear Review builds structured "best of" guides — most comfortable, best breathable, Amazon-available — which makes it a genuinely useful reference if you're trying to work out what to actually buy. Content is refreshed for 2026 across boxers, briefs and undershirts.
The one for brief loyalists. Founded by the pseudonymous "Briefslad", Briefsmania is part blog, part social network for men who've settled the boxers-vs-briefs debate permanently. It's slowed since its mid-2010s heyday but is still ticking over into 2026 with community posts and brand spotlights — including, this year, a post revisiting our own 2013 rebrand from BangLads to Bang&Strike.
The most specialist blog on this list, and unapologetically so. The Bottom Drawer covers bikini and thong underwear almost exclusively, with detailed personal reviews and an active reader forum. If your interest starts where most "best men's underwear" round-ups stop, this is the one to follow — it's still posting through summer 2026.

Why we still read them
Worth including with a caveat. What started as an independent review blog has, over the years, grown into a full subscription retailer and lifestyle brand in its own right, with 160,000+ five-star reviews on its own store. The original editorial voice is still there in its blog section, but it's now as much a shop as a publication — a fair reminder that the line between "blogger" and "brand" in this category has mostly disappeared.

The Hall of Fame: Blogs That Shaped the Category
Some of the sites that helped put men's underwear blogging on the map have since gone quiet — including, in one case, a domain that's since lapsed and been picked up by an unrelated site. We're not scrubbing them from this page. A few of the backlinks pointing at this very article come from their archives, and it felt right to credit them properly rather than pretend they were never part of the story.
Founded by Irish blogger Darrell MacDonald, Mens Underwear Source was one of the earliest dedicated review blogs in the category and featured Bang&Strike numerous times across its run — we were even part of its regular shopping roll. Its original domain has since lapsed and now redirects elsewhere, so we're not linking to it, but its Instagram and X archives remain up as a record of a decade-plus of coverage.
Started in 2007 by Max and Brady, Underwear Fanatic was one of the longest-running blogs in the category and one of the first sites to give Bang&Strike a mention in its blogroll. The site has gone quiet and its old TypePad archive hasn't been updated in years — a good reminder of how long this community has actually been building. Filed here with thanks rather than quietly removed.
Where Did Everyone Go? The Shift From Blogs to Video
The honest answer is that almost nobody's built a new dedicated underwear blog since the mid-2010s, and it's worth explaining why rather than pretending otherwise.
For about a decade, blogs like the ones above did a job nobody else would. Mainstream fashion media wouldn't cover underwear, so a handful of genuine hobbyists became the trade press for the category — reviewing product, breaking new brands, and building the kind of loyal readership that turned into real influence. That specific gap has mostly closed. Brands became their own media instead: The Underwear Expert is the clearest example, an independent review blog that's now a subscription retailer running its own YouTube channel, and most underwear labels now run Instagram and TikTok accounts doing the try-on content bloggers used to do first.
Where reviewing still happens, it's mostly moved to video — YouTube channels like The Underwear Review's and The Underwear Expert's own, plus a constant churn of TikTok and Instagram try-on hauls that live inside general fashion and haul accounts rather than dedicated underwear niches. It's a fundamentally different format: algorithm-fed rather than followed, with no archive or domain authority building up the way a blog does over ten years. There's a genuine menswear newsletter scene on Substack too, but underwear shows up there as one category among many rather than its own beat.
None of that is a complaint — it's just a different media landscape. It's also part of why the six blogs above are worth valuing precisely because they're increasingly rare.
What Makes an Underwear Blog Worth Following
Consistency matters more than launch date — a blog that's gone quiet for two years doesn't make this list, however good its archive.
Hands-on opinions on fit, fabric and construction — not reprinted press releases dressed up as coverage.
Comments, forums, reader polls and awards — the sites that built something people actually come back to.
Coverage that isn't simply a storefront wearing a blog's clothing.
Years of sustained coverage, not a burst of posts around a single launch.
Writers who clearly understand fit and fabric, not just which brand sent the free pair.
